So here is the video I was talking about. Sorry it took so long to post. Hope you enjoy. :)
Hello, My Name Is: Loser
I promise I haven't abandonned my blog. It's just that there's a lot going on and I promise as soon as I can, I will start posting regularly again. :)
There is something I want to show you though... it's a short video I helped my friend make. But I will put it up soon because I need to get the link first. It's really cute.

My Bad
I know I've been gone for quite a while...
But that's because we just moved and I've been trying to decorate. I finally finished the bedroom!

I love it! What do you think?
:P hehe
Just kidding... I wish this was my bedroom. It's actually one of the rooms at L'hôtel Particulier de Montmartre. They have very very nice rooms.
Anyways... I know I've been gone more than 2 months... but nothing interesting has really been going on. Really.
I haven't been able to take more pictures of Paris and I haven't eaten at a restaurant this year yet (gasp... I know).
Hopefully I'll be back soon with tons of nice pictures and say interesting stuff. ;P
What A Crazy Day
I walked miles today!! Well... I guess here I would have to say, I walked kilometers today!! But that sounds funny.
Anyways... I started my day by meeting up D during his lunch break because I was bringing him lunch. Then I found this....
STARBUCKS!!!
Man I was tempted. I wanted a frappuccino soooo bad but I had already made plans to check out a boba place. Which wasn't all that great. I mean, it wasn't bad but I would've rather spent money on Starbucks. The small boba milk tea cost me 4,50€ which is about the same price as a tall frap here. Dammit. Oh well, how often do I drink boba, right? Whatever.
Oh and I also found this on Rue de la Boetie. It's some artist guy who spray paints on the street... and I forgot his name and the exact story. :/ Sorry.
So I did a lot of walking because I was taking pictures for my Paris by Arrondissements. I pretty much walked half of the 2nd district and then some.
I also got a little lost along the way and ran into these photos somewhere. It reminded me of a recent conversation D and I had.
Me: (watching tv) Ooooooh how cute!!! Look at the cuuuuute elephants. Awwwwwww!
D: You're not scared of elephants?
Me: No.
D: You should be. They are wild.
Me: Well I've never seen an elephant in real life (except maybe at the zoo.. but I can't remember) so I think all animals are cute. I want a monkey.
D: I'll take you to Africa and then you can tell me if they are still cute.
This picture makes me scared of monkeys.... it's not cute. I wonder if this was taken in Africa.
Anywho, I ended up trying to get to Rue de Rivoli to try and get some shopping in and went through the park (or garden... whatever) at Palais Royal. I've only been inside the park twice but this was the first time I had noticed all the cool statues. I didn't take pictures of all of them, but they are definitely worth seeing. They are not your average statues.

Oh by the way.... I know where all the smokers went. You know, since people aren't allowed to smoke in cafés anymore. They are all at the park! Seriously.
And of course the highlight of my day is when I'm on my way home...
So this drunk guy... maybe mentally handicaped too.... follows me all the way into the metro. At first I was scared but then I figured if worse comes to worse I could just go back to D's work. So he kept talking to me but I was trying to ignore him and I didn't understand him anyways. But he keeps getting closer and insists that we talk. So I finally respond with, "I don't understand." But he continues and I make out that he has a headache and wants me to give him a massage. I say no.
By the way, where I was standing an Asian girl ended up sitting next to me.
So he asks if we are sisters? ...friends? I say no. He then asks if I'm Chinese? ...Cambodian? I don't even know how he went from Chinese to Cambodian but I said no. Of course he asks what I am. I say Korean. Then he gets all excited and asks if I have a brother who is a singer because he knows a Korean guy who is a singer. I say no. I was getting tired of it so I finally decided to ignore him completely. So he starts bothering the poor girl next to me. He tries to play footsy to get her attention and asks how shes doing. She says fine and ignores him. He finally gave up and exited the metro but not before waving his hand to get my attention and says bye. I'm just glad he didn't tap me or touch me to get my attention cus then I would've been really mad.

2e Arrondissement
There really isn't much to see in the second arrondissement.... the business district and the smallest of 20.
The first place I hit up was a cafe called ZenZoo where they sell boba drinks.
It was all right. I tried the taro boba but it wasn't made the way I'm used to... purple, milky, creamy, thick.... so if I were to ever go back I would try a different flavor.
Then I went to Palais Brongniart... the former headquarters of the Paris stock exchange.
And I stook outside the Passage des Panoramas. I went inside but only a few feet before turning back... it didn't interest me much. It's just a bunch of stores and restaurants mostly. I did see a tour group though.
And that's pretty much it folks.
If I only had a short time in Paris, I think the only part of the 2nd arrondissement I would go to is Rue Sainte Anne where there are many Japanese restaurants and stores... and some Korean ones too.

I Failed Already
So, one of my new years resolutions is to really enjoy and take in Paris.
Because after my first visit to Paris I dreamed about one day living in Paris for what seemed like an eternity. But then I moved to Paris and I've been here for about a year and a half so far and I've barely been out to explore. What the heck?! So yes, explore the beauty Paris has to offer before it's too late. Cus its not like I'm going to be here forever. And I don't do regrets.
So another resolution of mine is to eat out at least once a month and it can double as "date night" for D and I. Because we really don't get out. D usually eats anything and everything... but he's very particular about who makes it and how many people it's being made for. Basically he doesn't like eating out because who knows what happens behind closed doors... and he should know, he used to run a restaurant. Mistakes happen.
But seriously, we only eat out maybe a few times a year. And it was very hard for me to get used to. I mean, I used to buy everything I ate (about twice a day) and cook about twice a month... which three out of four times used to be a hamburger helper.
Now I cook everything! If I want lasagne... I cook it. Cheeseburger... I cook it. Fish and chips... I cook it. Pancakes... I cook it. You name it... I cook it and try my best to satisfy my craving. And that is why I don't have any dining out posts on this blog. But this year I want to change that.
And I've already failed. We had our eating out day yesterday and I forgot my camera. :( Not that we went to a restaurant or anything... but still! We ended up just going out for crêpes to my favorite place at the Latin quarter since we weren't too hungry. But to me (and definitely D) that still counts as "dining out". But maybe I'll try to convince D to actually do a restaurant before the months up. Maybe. We'll see.
Oh, and I promise to get a shot of the crêpe place one day.
